Songstress Juliana Kanyomozi has become the latest victim of social media hacking after reporting that her Facebook page has been defaced by hackers.

Friday early morning, Kanyomozi took to her Twiiter account to announce that she had lost control of her Facebook page, Juliana Kanyomozi, to hackers.

The ‘Zaabu’ singer alerted her followers to disregard any unusual content posted on her timeline for the time being.

She promised her friends and fans that her team was working tirelessly to regain control of her page.

“Good morning fans and friends. My Facebook page Juliana Kanyomozi* has been hacked. Currently I’m not in charge of what is being posted there. I’m working with my team towards regaining control of my page. At the moment ignore and disregard anything posted there. Thank you,” Kanyomozi said in a tweet.

At the writing of this, there’s a live video running on Kanyomozi’s Facebook timeline showing a 7-hour countdown captioned ‘Countdown Timer To Any Date’. The live video was posted on Friday at around 7am.

Kanyomozi is one of the most followed Ugandan celebrities on Facebook with over 1.2 million followers.

She becomes the latest celebrity to fall prey to Facebook hackers who target musicians, media personalities and celebrities with big numbers of followers.

In February this year, singer Maurice Kirya reported that his Facebook account had been hacked. Fortunately, he recovered his.

Last year, musicians Pius Mayanja alias Pallaso, Bruno K, and Victor Kamenyo all reported they had lost their accounts to hackers. However, the latter is said to have never recovered his.
