MP Nsereko tells new leadership of Buganda Caucus to "stay in its lane"
Some of the legislators who opposed to the the election of the new leadership of the Buganda Parliamentary Caucus have asked the caucus to stay in its lane if the social grouping is to achieve its intended objectives.
The fire spitting legislators led by Muhammad Nsereko of Kampala Central and David Kabanda of Kasambya county said the new chairperson, Butambala's Muwanga Kivumbi had made reckless statements which are likely to split the caucus further.

Delivering his victory remarks last week, Muwanga Kivumbi vowed to lead an army of legislators to the constituencies of those opposed to the agenda of the caucus.
Nsereko and Kabanda described Muwanga's remarks as reckless and uncalled for. Nsereko said the caucus should concentrate on its core mandate and not interfere in the affairs of MPs.
Nsereko also vowed to oppose any attempt to deduct his salary by the caucus.
Last week, Mukono Municiplaity MP, Betty Nambooze stormed out of a meeting in which NUP selected its flag bearers for the various caucus positions.
The statements from these two come after the Mukono Municipality legislator Betty Nambooze made no show at the Wednesday Caucus elections.
Meanwhile, we have been told that NRM legislators from Buganda are in the process of forming a parallel caucus that will front the agenda of their constituents.
