Nara Promotionz in charity event to support female boxers
Nara Promotionz has organized a charity boxing event aimed at supporting the development of the boxing fraternity especially the women in the game.
Speaking on Monday in Kampala, Babu Hussein Lubowa, the chairperson of Nara Promotionz said it is high time many other people and organizations thought of the girl child in the boxing field to uplift their talents and support them.

“The proceeds will help the clubs with the purchase of among other things, training kits, and boxing facilities for women and youths, boxing promotion for professional fighters and medical insurance for performing and retired boxers,”Lubowa said.
He noted that proceeds will also help in the purchase of boots, sleeves, shorts, mouth guards, sanitary pads and other essential items to women in the game of boxing.
According to the Nara Promotionz boss, with such items, many other girls would be encouraged to join the game of boxing but also ensure those already into it enjoy what they are doing.
Speaking about the initiative, the female boxers present at the function said it has come in at the right time and urged many other people to come to the help of the girl child.
During the launch, betting company, Paragon Bet announced a shs10million support towards the initiative.
Event
During the charity event set for June, 24, there will be several boxers at both professional and amateur levels for males and females.
The event will shave six amateur and seven professional fights with the main fight being for females.
The boxing charity event will take place at Fast Fusion Sports Arena in Bugolobi.
