"Don't underrate me," Amuriat warns other presidential candidates

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential flag bearer in the 2021 general election, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, has warned that he is fully equipped to upset incumbent President Yoweri Museveni.

Last week, Amuriat emerged unopposed for the FDC presidential flag following the withdrawal of party chairman Wasswa Biriggwa from the race.

While addressing the press on Monday afternoon about his his candidature, Amuriat said that he has had enough training from Dr Kizza Besigye, and he is now ready for the biggest political office in the country.

Amuriat said: "A lot of people are underrating the FDC and I have seen comments saying that I can not win. Those people are about to witness what I have in stock."

Amuriat said that the FDC has traversed the whole country preaching the gospel of change and they are now ready to steer the country forward.

"Almost 90 percent of the country's population has told us that they have had of President Museveni and they are ready to vote him out," he said.

The presidential hopeful said that he will officially launch his campaign team next week before they officially start their election campaigns.

Amuriat also urged the Electoral Commission to ensure a levelled ground for all contestants during all the election period.

"This message goes to the Electoral Commission and Museveni, if they think they will continue to restrict FDC while the NRM goes ahead with its campaigns freely, they should know that this time they will be treated to a different cup of tea," Amuriat said.
