#TugobeCorona: Key players in boda boda industry launch joint campaign to combat virus

Key players in the boda boda industry have launched a joint campaign to encourage adherence to Ministry of Health guidelines against the spread of the Coronavirus.

Dubbed "Tugobe Corona", the campaign is an effort to increase sensitization, improve access to personal protective equipment such as face masks, sanitizers and soap among other items as the country grapples with increased Coronavirus infections.

According to the co-founder of SafeBoda, Ricky Rapa Thomson, the campaign presents an unprecedented collaboration targeting over 200,000 boda boda riders.

Thomson said: "Boda boda riders have proved to be an essential service to communities and this campaign presents them with a key opportunity to participate as positive change agents in the fight against Covid-19."
