Sudhir commends gov't for creating favourable investment climate

Business tycoon, Sudhir Ruparelia has commended government for its stance of encouraging foreign investors to come and do business in Uganda.

Sudhir was speaking at the opening of the Shopping Union supermarket, established by a Chinese investor at Kingdom Kampala, a mall he owns.

"The favourable conditions in the country have allowed foreign investors to invest in uganda, however more has to be done to allow others to invest. This will create jobs and the country will earn more money in form of taxes," Sudhir said.

He noted this enterprise will serve all people in the country and its coming to Kingdom Kampala is a testament that the mall is strategically located.

Chen Xido Zu, the proprietor of the supermarket, said the facility will serve not only Chinese people but all people from different continents.

He said the supermarket will endeavour to stock locally made products to support Buy Uganda Build Uganda policy (BUBU).

He said the main aim of the supermarket will be to offer good and quality services to all kinds of people at affordable prices.
