Musician Rema Namakula has allegedly put her car up for sale over allegations of choking debts following her introduction ceremony last month.
Namakula introduced her new husband, gynecologist Dr Hamza Sebunya in pomp and fan fair on 14th November in Nabbingo along Masaka Road. Several reports suggested that Rema had sold off some of her valuable assets to fund the ceremony.
Now, the latest update indicates that the ‘Sili Muyembe’ singer’s car, a Prado TX model registration number UAZ603Q in the artiste’s name is up for sale in a city car bond.
Several sources have indicated that Namakula is struggling with debts she accumulated in the aftermath of allegedly funding her own introduction ceremony.
Namakula and the husband have however remained tight-lipped on the matter.
Rema’s management speaks out
Speaking to local press in a phone interview, Namakula’s manager, Manager Kayemba denied these allegations saying that whoever owes her should table the evidence other than spreading rumors.
“No one is demanding Rema. If there is anyone that is demanding her, let them bring the evidence. That car was up for sale even before the introduction. Go and ask that car bond who gave them the car and when. Rema has a much better car than that. We are not in debt,” Manager Kayemba said.
Namakula’s introduction ceremony received both backlash and appreciation in the same measure following her fall out with long-time boyfriend and popular musician Edirisa Musuza alias Eddy Kenzo.
