Promoter Abitex: This government overthrew itself the day they pulled off my hat (Video)

Events promoter and Federation of Uganda's Promoters Association (FUPA) president Abbey Musinguzi alias Abitex has claimed that the current government of President Yoweri Museveni overthrew itself the day he was violently arrested.

Abtex has been arrested on several occasions this year owing to his relations with Kyadondo East legislator and musician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, but he recalls one particular arrest where his trademark hat was pulled off his head by the police during an arrest.

Speaking to NBS Television segment called 'Akatebe' that runs every Monday, the promoter said that the moment his hat went off his head, is the day government was overthrown.

"The moment this hat left my head is the day this government was overthrown. If you see unusual things happening then you should know that something huge is bound to happen. They will not go past 2021and if Museveni stays in power post-2021, that will be the last time that I will participate in the voting exercise," Abitex threatened.

The promoter said that he was set to host a concert dubbed" Abtex removes his hat" but that was failed by what he calls a violent arrest by the police.

Asked about which position he occupies in Bobi Wine's people power movement, the promoter said that he is the minister of disaster preparedness who works without expecting any rewards.

"I am the minister of disaster preparedness. I am not paid, I am was not elected and I don't expect any reward. We want to make a record with my friend Bajjo as people who fought with no reward," he added.

Abtex added that President Museveni and his government are panicking because they have been used to politicians who are in the opposition during daylight and run to the statehouse in the night which is not the case with him and his People power leader, Bobi Wine.

On Full Figure

Asked about his former ally with whom they used to do business together, Jennifer Nakanguubi alias Full-Figure before her switch to the National Resistance Movement (NRM) where she was appointed as presidential advisor on matters to do with youth and artistes, Abtex said that he won't blame Full-Figure because she had never seen such amount of money that was 'thrown' at her by President Museveni.

Abtex said that everyone entered the 'struggle' with their own intentions and that of Full Figure was finally revealed as one can not hide their intentions for long.
