Former Member of Parliament for Makindye West, Hussein Kyanjo has said that he laughs at the head of state, President Yoweri Museveni, when he sees him criticising Kyadondo East legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine for the problems that he (Museveni) created.
Kyanjo said that it’s not Bobi Wine that is stopping investors from coming to Uganda but the president foiled the system himself.
Kyanjo made these remarks while appearing on NBS Television’s Morning Breeze.
“I laugh when President Museveni criticises Bobi Wine for stopping investors from coming to Uganda, it’s him who foiled this process when he said he’ll never invest in western countries,” Kyanjo said.
Kyanjo said that Museveni has repeatedly been the stumbling block in all things to do national dialogue which is still workable but won’t happen anytime soon, if Museveni insists on the same measures.
He added that people who work in the system no longer believe in him and his ideas and this is why he keeps on having problems with people like Bobi Wine.
On having more policemen at sub-county level
Kyanjo said that this is not feasible because it is not the first time that the president suggests these solutions for the insecurity in the country.
“The proposal to have more policemen at sub-county level isn’t feasible, it changes nothing. How many times has President Museveni given out solutions on security? The major problem with insecurity is that we have a parallel state. You police and another bunch running around as police officers. You don’t see police carrying out investigations. Things are split by the president,” he said.
