DP bloc wants Health minister Aceng sacked

The Democratic Party bloc has called for the sacking of the minister of health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng following the controversy around the recently concluded Rubella and Measles immunisation.

Addressing the media at the party headquarters in Kampala on Tuesday, Samuel Walter Lubegaeurope a DP bloc member expressed his concern about the side-effects of measles and rubella immunisation to the children between the ages of 9 months to 15 years of age.

"Here we have an incompetent minister of health addressing a press conference and telling us how our children are falling sick and that they are going to make up the follow up,"he said.

He advised President Museveni to consider firing the minister as soon as possible as he also awaits his impeachment.

"The Democratic Party is calling upon government and the president to sack her with immediate effect," Mukaku said.

Mukaku commented on the 2021 elections noting that some of the organisers are partisan.

"RDCs have been put in charge, it can't be fair but with European Union taking up this matter and we are encouraging all other people including UN to force him to accept people's demands about electoral reforms," he said.

He also noted that the regime is preparing the army in the name of Local Defence Units (LDUs) and yet these LDUs were recruited for the purpose of protecting their villages.

"They asked the people to give them their children to protect the villages. Eventually they are systematically transforming into the entire army taking them to other places where they are not known. We know what is going on,"he said.
