Confirmed: Kyetume FC sack George Nsimbe over poor results

Newly promoted side, Kyetume Football Club has sacked their coach, George ‘Best’ Nsimbe over a string of poor performance by the team.

On Wednesday evening, a local sports website reported that the coach had been indefinitely suspended and appointed David Katono Mutono on the interim basis.

The Nile Post has however learnt that a crisis meeting that sat on Thursday morning decided that Nsimbe’s services be terminated.

“It is confirmed the coach has been sacked over the recent string of poor results and controversial loss against Onduparaka,”club deputy CEO, Martin Namugera who also doubles as the club spokesperson told this website on Thursday afternoon.

He said that the club management was infuriated by the manner in which the team lost to fellow newly-promoted side, Wakiso Giants on Wednesday in a game played at Bombo.

“It is appalling how the team lost to Wakiso Giants, a team with whom we were promoted to the league.”

Kyetume had beaten Wakiso Giants in their FUFA Big League encounter before promotion to the Uganda Premier League.

The Mukono based side is currently seated in the 9th position on the 16 team log having won five games, drawn one and lost seven times in the 13 games they have so far played.
