Education

Uganda Police has labeled fake, the Primary Leaving Examination papers leaked on social media platforms by unknown people.

Over the weekend and into Monday morning, UNEB PLE exam papers in Portable Document Format (PDF) were leaked on WhatsApp and Facebook, propagating ideas that UNEB had facilitated national malpractice.

However, the Deputy Police spokesperson Polly Namaye said he leaked papers are “fake and will result in confusion”.

“The Police would like to caution the public that the PLE UNEB Exams being shared on social media platforms are FAKE and will only result in confusion if shared among students.”

“Schools are discouraged from paying for such. six people over the weekend were arrested from the areas of Namugongo, Namungoona, Wakiso, and Nansana for selling fake PLE exams.”

She said that security agencies are keeping a close eye on the examination processes to ensure there are no irregularities.
