Shocking Video: Security officers captured beating half-naked Makerere students
A leaked video has highlighted the torture of Makerere University students by security agencies who were trying to quell a strike over a hike in tuition.
The disturbing video captured from a smart phone has gone viral on social media and was picked up by The Observer which tweeted it.

It shows soldiers flogging, forcing half naked Makerere University students to roll on a tarmac road near the Senate building and Freedom Square.
Security agencies have been criticised over their handling over the strike at Makerere which has paralysed business.
Scores of students have been injured and property destroyed.
