Shahatar believes Gicumbi will recover

Four games into the 2019/2020 Rwanda National Football League without a win but Gicumbi FC forward  Shahatar Ssekabembe isn’t ruling out a miracle.

Shahatar who last scored in Gicumbi’s 3-2 defeat away to Police thinks Gicumbi FC is just going through a tough spell but will recover from the slump they are in at the moment.

“The Rwanda National Football League is interesting, competitive and everyone in our team is already feeling the need to work harder for the first points.

Its four games into the season and we are just a few points away from the leaders.

Sometimes when in moments of hardship like this, you may feel a little low, but we shall have a miracle, we will eventually start getting the points.”

Shahatar said in an interview with Nile Post

Gicumbi lost 3-1 to Mukura yesterday and remain at the bottom of the Rwanda’s Top Flight while three points were enough to propel the victors to the top of the standings at 8-points, having played a game more than APR, Rayon Sports and Police who play tomorrow.

“It is very important that we get ourselves together, it’s the only way we can manage to overcome this situation.

Everyone is training harder and putting in more effort to ensure we start winning”

He added when asked about the team’s situation

Gicumbi, a side coached by Nduwantare Jean Mari Vianney continues to build his team’s foundation and is hoping to start winning as soon as possible.

The Rwandan National Football League continues tomorrow as Gasogi United hosts Police, Marines face APR and Rayon Sports take on Bugesera.
