The NRM chairperson Mbale district, Masaba Muhamudu has disowned Isaac Katoogo who claimed that he had been nailed by opposition supporters because of his love and support for President Museveni.

On Tuesday, Katoogo lodged a case at Nkoma police station saying his mouth had been drilled with nails by unidentified people because of his support for Museveni and NRM.

Police decided to investigate the claims and later discovered that Katoogo had fabricated the story.

Katoogo was interrogated for five hours at Mbale police station but he contradicted himself several times.

Later when the NRM chairman for Mbale Masaba was called in, he said he did not know Katoogo, who had earlier claimed that he had a strong relationship with the chairman.

Mbale district RDC Ogajo Baraza cautioned youths against using trickery to earn a living adding that it may instead lead them into trouble.

Katoogo's file has been forwarded to CMI for further interrogation after his statements were found to be uncoordinated.

Last month Baker Kasumba, an NRM supporter in Bwaise was allegedly nailed by people who he claimed where supporters of the NRM.

The party leadership condemned the act and pledged to meet the the medical bills of Kasumba.
