UPL: SC Villa move to the summit without kicking a ball

Record champions, SC Villa have moved to the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table without kicking a ball.

On Thursday, the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel docked points off Proline for forfeiting their Saturday game against SC Villa and consequently, three points and three goals were awarded to the record champions.

Consequently, the Jogoos who have been in 8^th position on four points have leap jumped seven positions to the summit of the table with seven points.

SC Villa are now joint table leaders with Wakiso Giants who were held to a one-all draw by Bright Stars at Wankulukuku on Wednesday.

Onduparaka now follows in third position on six points whereas Vipers and defending champions KCCA FC are in fifth and sixth positions respectively.

In the relegation zone, Bright Stars, Police FC and Proline FC are in the 14^th, 15^th and 16^th positions respectively.
