For the First Floor, lay hollow concrete bricks (150*200*400m), up to ring beam level. Hollow bricks will cost one up to Shs5.3m if each hollow brick costs around Shs2200. One requires about 2400 pieces for a standard wall.
This would also require about 30 bags of cement, costing about Shs30,000 per bag, when you do the math, you would need approximately Shs1m, plus 2 trips of pit sand at Shs480,000.
“Other costs include HS(100*100*4mm) at Shs200,000 for two pieces and 16 pieces of IPE at Shs2.8m. You also need 3 boxes of welding rods (Shs150,000) and 12 pieces of cutting discs (Shs120,000),” Eng Abdul Mwanjje states.
“Also one should provide for red oxide primer (12 liters at Shs120,000) for pre-painting all beams and columns and five liters of thinner (Shs30,000).”
