UPL:Isaac Kirabira stars as Kyetume frustrates taxmen

Former KCCA FC midfielder Isaac Kirabira produced a man of the match performance as newcomers Kyetume FC ensured tax collectors URA FC’s great start to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League suffered another blow.

In a game where both teams created a number of threatening chances at each other’s goal, Kyetume ensured they frustrate the taxmen who wanted the game after suffering a heavy loss against Wakiso Giants early this week.

Despite making a number of changes including the introduction of Mikdad Ssenyonga on the pitch, Sam Ssimbwa’s men could not break the Slaughters team that was determined to pick a point off the tax collectors.

At the end of the day, both teams had shared the spoils at Namboole.

Speaking shortly after the game, Kyetume FC coach, George ‘Best’ Nsimbe applauded his boys for displaying a good game against the tax collectors.

“Despite not getting all three points, the boys showed character. This is my first game seeing the players possess and pass the game at the same time and I am impressed.”

Nsimbe, however, rued missed chances that the team created throughout the game noting that he has a task of sharpening his strikers.

For Sam Ssimbwa, his players played badly against Kyetume.

“We played below average. This is not the team that played against Maroon and Wakiso Giants,”Mutebi said.

Both teams have four points from three games so far played but the tax collectors have a better goal difference.
