Kaddu’s absence not a big deal ahead of our Caf Champions League tie – says Mutebi
KCCA FC tactician Mike Mutebi has said his team will not miss the services of striker Patrick Kaddu as his team plays against Namibia’s African Stars in the Caf Champions League on Friday.
Kaddu early this week joined Moroccan giants Rennaissance Sportive Berkane after a completing a successful move to North Africa and penning a four-year deal.

Speaking ahead of their return leg on Thursday at Lugogo, Mutebi said the striker’s absence will not render the team weak.
“We are not in any panic of sorts. Kaddu’s absence doesn’t render the team weak at all because even when he was still around, he was playing on the fringes,” Mutebi said.
The KCCA FC gaffer insisted his team will put up a spirited fight against the Namibian side, adding that his team is still very strong.
“KCCA FC has 28 very technically gifted players who at any time can serve the club. The first service will be negotiating a very powerful opponent. Nunda (Jackson),Kiiza(Mustapha), Herbert Achai and Gift Ali make us a stronger team with a big squad depth . All these lads are back and stronger.”
Home advantage
Mutebi insisted all odds are on the Kasasiro boys to overcome their Namibian opponents, adding that the home advantage will be an added factor.
“We shall play our way of attacking football even when our opponent plays the same game. We may use our home advantage.”
The African Stars head coach, Muhammad Fargo, however, insisted his team is in Kampala to pick the maximum points.
“We are well prepared for that. We know we have prepared to give KCCA FC a very good game,” Fargo.
The hosts come into the Friday game with a task of beating their Namibian visitors by at least a goal to nil if they are to qualify to the next round of the Caf Champions League having lost the first game 3-2 in Windhoek.
