UPL: Matia Lule replaces Bisaso as Proline FC coach

New StarTimes Uganda Premier League entrants Proline Football Club have appointed former Express FC coach Matia Lule as their new tactician to replace Shafiq Bisaso.

The Lugogo based club last week bid farewell to their head coach Bisaso who stepped down voluntarily to enable him to proceed with a year-long study stint in Sweden in a bid to upgrade his coaching level.

On Sunday, Proline announced Lule as Bisaso’s replacement.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Matia Lule as our new Team Manager. Lule will be unveiled on Monday, 19th August 2019 at Star Times Stadium Lugogo,” the club said in a statement.

“He begins work immediately and will be assisted by first-team coach Baker Mbowa , assistant coaches Luyima Richard and goalkeeping Coach Swaibu Ssebagala.”

Matia Lule was the assistant coach to Frenchman Sebastien Desabre until last month when FUFA dissolved the entire Uganda Cranes technical team following Desabre’s departure to Egypt after the Afcon finals.

Lule has also been coach at Entebbe FC and previously at Express FC.
