I am very indebted to those who threw bottles at Fresh Daddy, he deserves it- MC Kats

Mature upcoming artiste Paul Mutabazi alias Fresh Daddy has bowed to pressure and dropped his mic just months into his singing career.

Fresh Daddy, who is a father to infant singer Patrick Ssenyongo, who goes by his stage name Fresh Kid, will now resort to manicure and pedicure business and ‘leave singing for my son’.

According to Fresh Daddy, he has burnt out and he sees no more reason to engage in music when he can still get his life on the right move via manicure and pedicure.

Fresh Daddy made the statements while launching a salon in Kampala.

“This salon has cost me Shs7m in total which included buying it from its owner and renovating it. I decided to retain the stuff as I found them,” he said.

“I will be operating my business during the day, and if I have a show in the night I will go and sing. This business is my primary focus, if I can make something out of it, I don’t need the music industry anymore,” he said.

Fresh Daddy also maintained he will take a position at the same salon in the pedicure and manicure department, which happen to be his previous deployment before he saw the musical light.

His announcement came as a relief to events MC and NBS after five-show presenter Edwin Katamba alias MC Kats, who has been overly critical of Fresh Daddy’s involvement in the music industry.

According to Kats, the Uganda music industry has gone through so much to accept comedians like Fresh Daddy.

He now says he will support Fresh Daddy with all his might and offer his all necessary platform to succeed in his salon business.

“Fresh Daddy is not a singer and I am excited he has seen it. Now I will support him in all ways. I will bring my entire family and everyone I know to the salon. I will also start cutting my hair from the same salon. Now that he is in what he can do, let everyone be happy.”
