Emma Okwi joins Egyptian Premier League side Ittihad
Uganda Cranes forward, Emmanuel Arnold Okwi has joined Egyptian Premier League club, Ittihad Alexandria, the Nile Post has learnt.
The former Simba striker was unveiled on Thursday in Egypt after signing a two-year contract for the coastal club.

"Club president Mohamed Mosselhi finalized the deal with Emmanuel Okwi and the Ugandan striker signed a two-year contract until 2021," a statement on the club website read.
The Egyptian Premier League club said after completion of his medicals, the 26-year-old is set to join the team’s pre-season camp ahead of the new season in mid-September.
Ittihad finished 11 out of the 18 teams in the Egyptian Premier League and by acquiring Okwi, they hope to boost their frontline ahead of the new season.
Having started out in SC Villa, Okwi left Uganda to join Tanzanian team Simba SC and in January 2013 was signed by Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel.
He later returned to SC Villa before a second stint at Simba in 2014.
Since then Okwi has played for SønderjyskE Fodbold in Denmark before returning to Simba for a third spell in 2017 from where he has joined the Egyptian outfit.
In the African Nations Cup, Okwi scored two goals that guided Uganda to their first-ever last 16 qualification in over 40 years since 1978.
Okwi joins Abdu Lumala and Khalid Aucho who also joined other Egyptian Premier League outfits after the 2019 Afcon to after former Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre in the North African nation.
