Mukono Municipality MP, Betty Nambooze Bakireke, has written to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga informing her that her life is under threat from both known and unknown people.
Nambooze said that after exposing the loopholes in the exportation of labour, she has been overwhelmed by the increasing of threats on her life.
Nambooze recently caused a stir when accused some labour export companies of selling Ugandan girls into slavery.
Labour export firms came out and rubbished her claims.
Nambooze made the disclosure on the threat to her life when she was meeting over 50 victims of exportation of labour in the middle East Countries at Parliament.
She told journalists that since then, she has received threats from both known and unknown people which has forced her to write to the speaker to seek protection.
She said she will disclose names of senior government ministers and MPs who own companies involved in the exportation of domestic workers in foreign countries.
She urged the speaker to urgently institute a select committee to investigate the claims in the exportation of domestic workers in outside countries.
Some of the victims have also pinned Middle East Consultants for duping them over Shs 50 million under the pretence of exporting them for labour in addition to hiring security organs to harass them.
Earlier Kadaga had a closed door meeting with officials from the ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development over the increased harassment of Ugandan domestic workers abroad.
