Private security guards attack KCB Bank, put staff under siege

Police in Jinja is investigating circumstances under which private security guards attacked KCB Bank, Jinja branch and put all staff members that were on duty under siege.

The Nile Post has established that the security guards tried to rob KCB bank in Jinja but Police were quick to react and deployed heavily.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga has confirmed the incident and said that they managed to recover one gun from the guards but they all managed to escape.

“Security guards tried to rob KCB but the police were quick to react. They have run away with their guns,” Enanga said in a statement.

By the time of compiling this report, Police were still deploying heavily at the bank.
