Government to register all animals and crops
Government is in preparations to register all animals and crops in the country.
This was revealed by the minister of Agriculture, Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, during the official opening of the 27th Source of the Nile Agricultural show presided over by Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda.

According to the Minister, this will be done to fulfil the requirements at the international market.
Under the theme: "Agricultural Technologies and Innovations for farmer-led Agro industrialisation," the agricultural show kicked off to a busy start yesterday.
In his speech, Rugunda who represented President Museveni, revealed that agriculture is one of the leading foreign exchange fetching sectors in the country.
Ssempijja revealed that in a bid to improve the sector, government is in preparations to register all farmers, animals and crops grown in the country.
Ssempijja said this is intended to fulfil the requirements on the world market and he asked farmers to comply with this new policy.
He also revealed that government has embarked on recruiting irrigation experts in all districts in preparations for irrigation as a new method of modern farming.
