Bullet that shattered city businessman’s face went through passenger window

The bullet that condemned city businessman, Arnold Mugisha to death went through the passenger window, and exited from the driver’s window, shattering his face in the process.

Mugisha, who is the proprietor of Kololo-based Hickory Bar and Restaurant, was Tuesday morning shot at Quality shopping village in Naalya following an altercation with a security guard manning the premises.

According to different accounts, the deceased together with his colleagues entered an argument with the the security guard after a shopping trolley in their possession was left roll into another person’s car.

Following the incident, the security guard identified as Babu Aweza reprimanded the group but they were not willing to take it in. They refused to heed to his pleas to stop and address the issue with the owner of the other car.

Police says that in the event, Mugisha started the car, crushing Babu’s leg which infuriated another guard on duty identified as Moses Angoria who dashed for his gun and shot through Mugisha’s car.

Our reporters were able to sprint to the scene where we assessed the car in which Mugisha and colleagues were occupants.

The Toyota Mark X had its left passenger window torn through by the bullet from Angoria’s gun. The same bullet went diagonally, exiting from the driver’s side where Mugisha was seated.

“The car is filled with blood on the driver’s seat and the passenger seat next to the driver,” our reporter confirms.

Mugisha was rushed to Independent Hospital in Ntinda but gave up the fight midway his journey. Angoria meanwhile, was pummelled by a group of people to settle justice. He is currently admitted at Mulago hospital.

Babu is also admitted at Mulago hospital.
