Uganda Vs Senegal

Cairo International stadium, Cairo (10pm EAT)

Central defender Murushid Jjuuko has returned into the stating XI as Uganda Cranes coach named his team to play against Senegal in the round of 16.

Jjuuko missed the group A games between Zimbabwe due to a slight injury and the last one against hosts Egypt after being rested by the coach but has returned to the team.

The team released in an hour to the game has seen skipper Denis Onyango retain his position in between the sticks whereas Hassan Wasswa, Bevis Kizito Mugabi and pint sized Godfrey Walusimbi is the other player to complete the back four for the East African representatives.

In the midfield, the French tactician has stuck his guns to his winning combination of Mike Azira and Khalid Aucho to provide the defensive cover to the defence as Emma Okwi, Faruku Miya and Abdu Lumala will link the midfield to the striking line where KCCA FC striker Patrick Kaddu is leading the hunt for goals.

Uganda will be looking at beating Senegal to not only progress to another round but also make another piece of history in the African Nations Cup.

The East African side has already qualified for the round of 16 for the first time in 41 years.
