ISO arrests four for hatching plan to kill doctor over land in Mukono

The Internal Security Organisation(ISO) has arrested a group of four people suspected to have hatched plans to kill a medical doctor in Mukono over land.

The four including Amir Ssewanonda,28,Saad Katamba,28, Dan Kalule and Steven Mayombwe were arrested on Friday from Mukono.

According to Dr.Tony Busuulwa, a medic at Ntenjeru health centre IV he fell out with one Yowaana Kisunsu a resident of Mukono over land and he suspects he had sent the group to finish him off.

He says he bought two plots of land from Kisunsu and his efforts to get land titles for the same proved futile after finding out that there were already titles made for the same land under the names of Kisunsu.

“When I went to lands to get titles, I found out that the two plots had got titles in 2018 under Kisunsu’s names prompting me to reach out to him so he could have them transferred into my names. He refused and I took him to police where the matter was settled as he was in the wrong,”Busuulwa said.

He however noted that since then, the relationship between Kisunsu and him deteriorated and he suspects the group had been sent by him to have him finished off over the same land.

Arrest

The Nile Post has learnt that after hatching plans to kill him, the Internal Security Organisation was tipped off by one of their informers before swinging into action to arrest the four people.

On interrogation, the four accused each other of orchestrating the “deal” with an aim of getting money from the doctor.

The group claimed they had been told that the doctor had some money and that they were to use guns to rob him of the money.

The ISO Director General, Col.Kaka Bagyenda confirmed the arrest of the group from Mukono on Friday.

He however noted that the increased spate of criminality in various parts of the country would be dealt with  by security slowly by slowly.
