VIDEO: MC Kapale needs shs 2.5m for life-saving operation, ordered to stop drinking

Comedian Simon Kawuki alias MC Kapale has been diagnosed with hernia.

In an interview with NBS TV, Kapale revealed that he was diagnosed with hernia again, about three years since he was operated from the same disease.

"Yes, I have diabetes but now I was also diagnosed with hernia and I am going to be operated in two weeks. I was operated about three years ago but they said I will need another operation now," he said.

Kapale also revealed that he was ordered to stop drinking alcohol for the mean time which makes life hard for him since alcohol is his only companion.

"When I go home without drinking, I get weird dreams. Drinking is my companion and without it, life is hard." Kapale said.

Kapale said that the operation will cost him UGX 4.85 million, a figure that he doesn't have at the moment. He however said that he doesn't want fundraising noting that people often laugh at them during fundraising campaigns.

" I am going for an operation but I am still having financial challenges. They want UGX 4.85 million but I have only UGX 2.4 million. I want to top up but I don't want a car wash because they talk about us. But if there is anyone willing to help me with anything, I have no problem," He told NBS TV.

Kapale said that many comedians and celebrities are surviving hand to mouth. He said that unlike many who want to show off that they are well off yet they are not, he has some property to his name.

"Some of our celebrities want to show that they are well off yet they are not but personally I have built a house from my comedy," Kapale said.

Last year, city comedian Hassan Lumu alias King Kong died from a short spell with malaria.
