Third edition of the 2019 Singleton Match Play Golf Championship completed

The semi finals of 5th round of the third edition of 2019 Singleton match play golf championship was successfully completed over the weekend at the lake side par 71 Entebbe Golf Club course.

A total of 142 (8 pros) golfers participated in the day long event played on a match play format.

Among all, four couples (amateur) golfers competing in the semi final, Lutwama Richard and his counter part Busingye knocked out Kato Samuel and Odere Charles in a hard-hitting challenge on the second play hole which left them shedding tears.

In the second group, a pair of Atuhaire Andrew and Orach Geoffrey defeated the duo of Suubi Kiwanuka and Timothy Mwanda.

In the professionals circuit of 8 pros competing in the for the semi finals, Abraham Ainamani defeated Herman 'Deco' Mutebi with 5/3.

While Herman Mutawe beat Lugumayo Ronald in the second group of golfers.

The wining professionals alongside the amateur group will once again join the competition in the 6th Round due to place July 13 2019 to mark the overall Match Play Golf Championship on the greens of Entebbe Golf club.

The winning pair of golfers will win return air tickets to the Dubai Classic series at the end of the year.
