Major Gen Kasirye Gwanga was on Thursday blocked from attending the State of Nation address due to failure to present invitation card.

Kasirye did not have the invitation letter, prompting the special force command soldiers to intervene.

Kasirye, who is also one of the most fascinating UPDF officers, reached the venue of the address very late after President Museveni had already arrived.

He tried to force his way into the venue but he was intercepted by the officers from the Special Force Command.

The flamboyant general tried to negotiate with the security operatives from the protocol team on ground of his status but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

Kasirye was later ordered to drive out of Serena Hotel and he complied despite his clear disappointment.

He was later seen leaving the vicinity with a gloomy face.
