The Minister for East African Affairs, Ali Kirunda Kivejinja, has told the media that the misunderstanding between Rwanda and Uganda will soon be ironed out.
Addressing journalists at Nakasero on Tuesday, Kivejinja stated that government has managed to create some border crossings one-stop points where traders can clear their goods without disturbance.
“They don’t have to be stopped again until they reach their destination and this has helped to keep time for the traders,” he said.
He stated that the misunderstand between Rwanda and Uganda can not derail the progress of the East African Community (EAC).
“Even brothers can get misunderstandings. Don’t imagine that when you have an East Africa integration, there will be no differences but the question is how you resolve them,” he added.
He stated that the differences between the two nations will amicably be resolved, it needs only time and this should not create any panic.
“No body can afford war at this time. We are drafting East African constitution,” he noted.
