Rwanda announces capture of rebel leader Nsabimana 'Sankara' Callixte
The Rwanda Investigation Bureau has detained Nsabimana Callixte a.k.a Sankara. Nsabimana has been wanted in Rwanda for allegedly committing several offences committed in its territory
Rwanda accuses Nsabimana of formation of an irregular armed group; complicity in committing terrorist acts; conspiracy and incitement to commit terrorist acts; taking persons hostage; murder; and looting.

Nsabimana reportedly claimed to be the leader of the National Forces for Liberation(FLN) that declared war on the Rwandan government led by President Paul Kagame.
FLN clashed with Rwandan troops in the jungles of Nyungwe in the south of Rwanda.
Unconfirmed reports indicate Nsabimana was arrested in Comoros islands and extradited upon request of the Rwandan government
Nsabimana's case file will be submitted to the National Public Prosecution Authority in accordance with Rwandan criminal procedure law.
