A number of students that are under the direct sponsorship of the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga are in tears over her health.

According to the students, it is terribly worrying that they are being kept in the dark regarding the health of their benefactor.

Nile Post approached some of the students at Uganda Christian University in Mukono, who indeed expressed their fears regarding Kadaga’s health.

Two students who preferred anonymity, both students of nursing at the university said they the speaker was their only hope and without her, the world would turn around.

“We wish her a very speedy recovery. She has given us the dream of education and we don’t know where we would be without her.”

This morning, President Museveni visited Kadaga at the Aga Khan hospital but declined to explain her current condition.

Meanwhile, The government is contemplating transfering ailing Parliament Speaker, Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga from Agha Khan hospital in Nairobi, to Spain in Europe.

Nile Post has exclusively learnt that a communication was sent through government ranks to the Ministry of Finance to set aside money to enable Kadaga’s facilitation and treatment in Spain.

The amount of money not yet disclosed, has already been earmarked. A source in the ministry claims that the memo asking for finances was issued yesterday with instructions to ‘urgently handle’.
