FUFA issues 24-hour ultimatum to SC Villa to hand over rowdy fans or lose points

The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has given SC Villa two days produce individual fans who were involved in the acts of hooliganism and violence recently.

Early this month, there was an incident that saw SC Villa fans throw various objects including beer bottles and chairs into the filed as their team hosted Bright Stars at Namboole.

The game was halted for some minutes after the fans for the record league champions disagreed with decisions of the centre referee George Olema whom they accused of poor officiation.

In a letter to SC Villa, the FUFA disciplinary committee has asked the team to produce the supporters involved in hooliganism during the game for action to be taken against them.

“SC Villa Jogoo is given 48 hours to produce individual fans who were involved in the acts of hooliganism & violence in the UPL match against Bright Stars FC on 6/02/2019 for throwing objects and chairs onto the field of play forcing the match to stop in the 75th minute,” said the letter to SC Villa.

According to the disciplinary committee of the football governing body, if the club fails to avail the fans involved in hooliganism, they will apply rules in regards to violence.

This is not the first time SC Villa supporters are involved in violence after vandalising the stands at St.Mary’s stadium in Kitende during the team’s loss to Vipers SC.

A number of fans have since been banned by management from the stadium.
