Pius Wangi on song as SC villa edge Paidha Black Angels for fourth win in Startimes Uganda Premier League

Sports club Villa forward Pius Wangi seems to have found his footing again after years of struggling at Kirinya Jinja and Vipers.

Wangi who scored one, and assisted another last Saturday as Villa condemned the Venoms to their first league loss in 35 games, was in even more blistering form as the 16 time league winners won their fourth game of the season and second in a row against Paidha Black Angels on Tuesday 12th February.

The former Venom got his name on the score sheet barely three minutes into the first half, before completing his brace less than 15 minutes later.

The first half ended 2-0 to Douglas Bamweyana 's side.

The resumption saw Charles Ssenyange's visitors press their hosts uneelentingly until Dickens Okwir pulled one back for the Blacks.

Bamweyana did well to manage the rest of the game as it stayed 2-1 till the final

Villa's victory sent them 11th with 21 points level with Express FC which has an inferior goal difference .

Meawhile in Jinja, Joel Madondo scored the sole goal of the game to hand Abbey Bogere his first win since taking over from Charles Ayiekho.

In Tooro, new signing Hamis Diego Kizza opened his account with the venoms as his side drew one all with Wasswa Bossa's Tooro united at the Buhinga  stadium.

In other games played, third placed Mbarara city held Bright Stars goalless, Ndejje university piped Maroons 1-0, while Onduparaka Vs URA took no goals.

The league will continue on Wednesday 13th Febraury as the table topping KCCA host fourth placed BUL FC while Express travels to Nyamityobora.
