DP's Mao attacks Bamugemereire commission

The Democratic Party president Norbert Mao has attacked the commission of land inquiry over the handling of a land wrangle that has pitted the founding party president Ben Kiwanuka against the family of Kabaka Mutesa II. The land in question is in Mutungo and measures 640 acres.

Mao while addressing the weekly press briefing at the headquarters said: "I appeal to people who implicate Our Hero Ben Kiwanuka in Mutungo Land dispute to desist from it.

He said the accusations are baseless and based on political biases and prejudices whose intent is to soil Benedicto Kiwanuka's legacy.

Recently Maurice Kagimu Kiwanuka accused Prince Wasajja, son to Ssekabaka Mutesa II of trying to grab his father's land. Another complainant, Dr. Muhammed Buwule Kasasa has also come out and claimed the land is his.

Mao also scoffed at those opposed to D.P's Regional mapping of 1-2-1 strategy that they hope to employ in 2021.

"We consulted ourselves and are now left with briefing the rest of democracy seeking forces but not consulting them," said Mao.

Mao also unveiled to the press UYD Makerere Guild Presidential contender Mr. Julius Kateregga.
