VIDEO: American gospel star Don Moen coming to Uganda

The famous American gospel music icon, song writer, pastor and a producer of Christian Worship music Don Moen is coming to Uganda. The pop star is expected in the country on February 06,2019 and will perform in the first inaugural annual concert of Kampala Praise Festival on February 08, 2019.

Don Moen is popular for his praise and worship songs like Our father, Sing for joy, God will make a way. In Uganda he will perform along side other Ugandan gospel artists like pastor Wilson Bugembe, Exodus and others.

Next Media, one of Uganda’s biggest communication groups, is proud to be in partnership with Kampala Praise Festival that will be enabling Ugandan gospel artists to meet and perform on the same stage with their hero.

“Being a channel that is leading in shaping the agenda in the country, we believe Ugandans will appreciate Don Moen performance. We are going to give a 360 approach coverage to this event and create international content,” the chief of strategy Next Media Joseph Kigozi said.

Don Moen’s music appeals to Christians across the Christian faith divide ranging from the Catholics, Pentecostals, Anglicans and Adventist and others.

Next Media’s Joseph Kigozi said the clergy men and women have been invited and some have already in writing confirmed attendance.

“The Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga is among those invited and will be among the team to receive Don Moen on arrival. Cyprian will together with the legendary gospel artist appear on Morning Breeze, Uganda’s leading breakfast show”, Kigozi said.

The legendary gospel artist will only have one performance in Uganda on February 8, 2019 at the Kampala Praise Festival to be held at Kololo airstrip in Kampala. Entrance fee is Ugx. 25,000 for ordinary, Ugx. 80,000 for VIP and Ugx. 3 million for a VIP table of 10.

Isaac Rucci, one of the lead organisers, said multi security agencies have been contacted to guarantee security for all persons expected to attend the concert.

Isaac Rucci said: “We have the Uganda police together with other top security agencies that will guarantee security during the festival to see to it that lives of persons and property is not endangered”.
