Another explosion hits Nairobi

Only a few weeks after the attack by Al Shabaab terrorists at Dusit D2 hotel and business complex in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital has been hit by another explosion.

It is reported that Police sealed off Smothers Fast Food Restaurant on Tom Mboya Street after an explosion that occurred at around 7pm on Saturday evening.

Unconfirmed reports pointed out to an Improvised Explosive Device that went off causing a loud blast.

The latest incident comes in the wake of a terror attack DusitD2 complex on January 15 by Al Shabaab militants.

The attack previous attack started with an explosion and it was later found out that five attackers including a suicide bomber and four gunmen walked into Dusit D2 hotel and business complex in Nairobi before killing over 20 people before being put out of action by Kenya’s security.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta vowed that his government will not waiver under the attacks of terrorists but instead pursue them and bring them to justice.

He said it is time for Kenya to show their undoubted resolve, adding that all terrorists have since been put out of action but their accomplices will be pursued.

“We will seek out every person that was involved in the funding, planning and execution of this heinous act, we will pursue them wherever they will be and hold them to account,” Kenyatta said.
