Abraham Ndugwa scores a brace as Vipers beat Kansai Plascon in the Uganda cup

Former Masavu fc forward Abraham Ndugwa scored a brace as Vipers Sports Club eased passed Kansai Plascon in the Uganda cup.

The Venoms proved on Tuesday that their recovery under new boss Michael Ouma is no flash in the Pan as they sealed a thrilling 4-0 victory against the big league outfit in arguably their most convincing style this season.

The two sides went toe to toe in an open game but while both teams had multiplechances, Vipers forward Abraham Ndugwa proved the difference scoring a brace in the second stanza.

Abraham Ndugwa sparkled for the home side when he beat the visiting goalkeeper Zakariya Nsubuga with a magical curl to slot home in the 52min before completing his brace in the 74th.

Ndugwa’s second half goals added to Desmond Kyobe’s 16th minute own goal and Halid Lwalilwa’s earlier poke past the painters’ number one.

Vipers head coach Micheal Ouma agrees his boys were a better side, “It’s a good performance because we emerged victories but I will say the opponent also gave us a good run for our money. The defense played a great role because we didn’t concede any goal.”

Kasai Plascon Assistant coach Peter Ssengonzi shared, "Vipers were a great test for us to reorganize our imperfections. Playing a big team like Vipers was a great opportunity to reflect on the areas we are weak at.”

Vipers next test will be on the continent when they face CS Sfaxien in the return leg on the 20th January 2019.
