KCCA travel for Caf clash, Vipers opponents here

KCCA FC travel to Congo Brazaville for their clash against AS Otoho D’oyo in the CAF Confederation Cup as Vipers opponents jet in.

18 players, eight technical team members and five officials travelled in the wee hours of Friday morning aboard Rwanda Air ahead of the Kasasiro boys’ encounter against Congo Brazaville’s AS Otoho D’oyo in the final round of the CAF confederation cup group stage qualifiers.

Mike Mutebi’s boys beat Mtibwa Sugar over two legs with 5-1 aggregate to progress to the final round of group stage qualifiers, having received a bye thus not playing the preliminary round.

The only notable absentees are Jackson Nunda who was the team’s top scorer with two goals in the CAF champions league last year and Sadam Juma who are injured.

Mutebi’s troops will play Sunday's game at the Omnisport Marien Ngouabi Owando stadium.

Meanwhile, Vipers SC’s opponents CS SFaxien arrived in the country on Thursday, 10th January, 2019  ahead of their first leg encounter against the defending Ugandan league champions slated for Saturday 12th January.

A team of 39 including 20 players and 19 officials jetted into the country aboard fly emirates.
