general.
The offices were later closed with no entrance and exit and it was here, that the search and investigations started.
The Anti
Corruption Unit
discovered that the offices were
being used by a group of land brokers for buying
and selling land. The presidential press secretary Don Wanyama added that State House had received
various complaints through the numbers that were aired to curb corruption
alleging that the district offices were under corrupt officials and hence paid
a visit to investigate the matter.
It was also
discovered that many workers at the place didn't have government working
permits which led to their arrests.
Clients who
had turned up to transact their businesses had to sit until about five pm when
access to the offices
was finally granted.
