Mohammed Salah lifts Liverpool as Manchester United eye top spot

By Rita Tugumisirize

Mohamed Salah’s strike was enough to cruise Liverpool past Napoli to book a place in the next round  of the champions league.

Liverpool hosted Napoli in a do or die game last evening at Anfield filled with all sorts of emotions as Liverpool needed to score and keep a clean sheet if they were to qualify for the knock out stages.

The reds had all it takes to qualify!

Salah’s 34th minute strike past Napoli’s Ospina was it all  and Alison’s save in  injury time to keep the clean sheet saw Jurgen Klop’s side go past Napoli to the Champions league Last 16.

Liverpool’s next game will be known after the champion league last sixteen draws after determining the other 8.

Machester United will visit Mestalla Stadium today for match day 6 against Valencia in group H.

This will be the 8th time the two teams are meeting with the last game having brought a goalless draw at Old Trafford.

United will be without Sanchez and Smalling who are injured, with Baily and Martial waiting to pass the fitness test.

Manchester United will look to top group H, past Juventus, if they beat Valencia should Juventus fail to win against Young Boys FC.
