VIDEO: Mbarara City dominates monthly Uganda Premier League awards

Mbarara City football club dominated the Pilsner Player of the Month awards held Monday morning at Kati Kati restaurant in Kampala.

Mbarara City's manager Livingstone Mbabazi, beat Police FC's Abdallah Mubiru for the award of best coach for November in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league, while Forward Paul Mucuurezi was named the best player of the month edging his former team mate and KCCA FC's captain Timothy Awanyi and Police FC's Juma Balinya.

Mucuurezi scored two crucial goals for the Ankole lions last month.

The award comes with one million Uganda shillings for both the coach and player.

Mucureezi says the award is a huge motivation a head of their next fixture as they host Tooro United on 11-12-2018

"This is a great achievement for me, am so humbled to win this award since its a motivation and I hope to win it again," said the jolly Paul Mucureezi.

"We are prepared for tomorrow's game against Tooro united, all players are ready and motivated, we have the fans' support so we shall win." he added

This is the second time Pilsner is rewarding the best tactician and player of the month in the local league with Vipers' gaffer Javier Espinoza and Kirinya Jinja SS' striker Joel Madondo the winners of the gongs for the month of October.

This will go on every month for the next three seasons with top performers in the county's top tier rewarded by the beer brand.
