Mutebi: Am a football consultant, am not looking for a job

By Ritah Tugumisirize

Following speculations about the departure of KCCA FC headcoach Mike Mutebi and joining rivals Vipers SC, Mutebi has broken his silence.

Early this month, reports about KCCA FC’S gaffer Mike Mutebi joining the defending Uganda Premier League champions, Vipers SC had been on the rise.

He however during the pre match conference trashed the speculations saying he is a football consultant and not looking for a job.

“Am  a KCCA FC manager, however that doesn’t stop me from having a conversation with some people I think have contributed towards the development of football, I had a chat with Mulindwa and discussed about vipers’ progress as a football person, we need to have about 6 competitive clubs in the country, “ Mutebi revealed.

Vipers SC has a coach already and am not looking for a job, KCCA FC hasn’t fired me and I haven’t resigned, am a football consultant by the way, I can talk to people about the development of the game,” added former cranes coach.

KCCA FC will host Nyamityobora FC this Sunday, 25th November at Startimes stadium Lugogo at 4pm, a game that will be live on Sanyuka TV.

Mutebi also hint about the fixture believing they are facing an injured team fighting for its life, a team that will challenge them for points but that wont stop his boys from playing for maximum points.

“We are playing a team that is struggling, Nyamityobora FC is fighting for its life but that wont stop my team from playing for maximum points, my team is ready and prepared.”  Coach Mike Mutebi.

KCCA FC and Nyamityobora FC are 3rd and 15th  on the Startimes Uganda premier League table respectively.
