Eco Bank donates items to orphans in Entebbe

SUNDAY SSEBAGGALA

Eco bank’s employees and management over the weekend donated items worth Shs 20m to orphans and children with disabilities of Noah's Ark Orphanage in Katabi town council.

While delivering the items, Anette Kihuguru, the bank's executive director said it is an annual activity for the bank to care and share the little they have with the local communities by donating food stuff, scholastic materials and other items.

She said that children need to be looked after well because they are the future leaders of society.

“These children are our future we should look after them," Kihuguru said.

Angela Nakato, who heads the orphanage, expressed gratitude and concern on the increasing number of babies or children who are dumped at various garbage sites or near the orphanage.

Nakato disclosed that they go through many difficulties to look after these disadvantaged children and appealed to parents or mothers to desist from the habit.

"They deserve parental care and love just like any other children," she said.
