GET HIM: Police stations around the country put on alert to arrest Bakaleke
The state has moved to tighten the noose around former Kampala South Police Commander Assistant Commissioner of Police, Siraje Bakaleke, the Nile Post has learnt.
Bakaleke has since his indictment been charged with over 12 counts including; abuse of office, kidnap, and conspiracy to defraud and commit a felony. He recently snubbed the summonses before court issued a warrant of arrest.

On Tuesday, the Anti -Corruption court grade one magistrate Moses Nabende was told that the state has issued and served numerous police stations all over the country with copies of arrest warrant to have him arrested.
“We have issued arrest warrants to all police stations around the country and the search is still ongoing,” said Alice Komuhangi, the Principal State Attorney.
Arrest warrant halted
Meanwhile, the court temporarily halted an arrest warrant issued against lawyer, Paul Mugoya, one of the people accused together with Bakaleke after court was told that he(Mugoya) had filed an application against the Director of Public Prosecutions challenging his trial by the court.
Nabende acknowledged receipt of the High Court order by Justice Lydia Mugambe and halted hearing of the case until November 15 when the application is disposed of.
Bakaleke is charged together with other fellow police officers including; D/ASP Innocent Munezero, D/ASP Innocent Nuwagaba, D/AIP Robert Asiimwe, PC Amanya Junior, PC Babu Gastavas and PC Kenneth Zirintuusa with charges related to kidnap and defrauding.
Others are city lawyer Paul Mugoya Wanyoto and Samuel Nabeta .
Two South Korean investors Park Seunghoon and Jang Shingu Un from Mckineley Resource Company Limited were scheduled to meet some gold dealers in Kampala but were instead surrounded by security operatives who asked them to hand over the $415,000 they had at gun point before going away with it.
Prosecution alleges that on February 4 and 11, 2018, the accused persons conspired to kidnap the three Koreans with an intention to secretly or wrongfully confine and defraud them.
