Uganda's 9 year old Golfer passes first international test

Keisha Kagoro returned home on Thursday a winner at the continental stage having finished third at U-9 Junior Africa Golf challenge held in South Africa where she participated in the three day individual stroke play competition.

For some one who was introduced to the game three years ago, finishing third at her international debut where she competed with 140 participants from 52 countries, was as encouraging as it could be.

Kagoro takes questions on her golf experience

She shared her experience at the San Lameer Country Club with NilePost.

"The competition was tough but I managed to emerge winner, I thank God and my parents for believing in me. It was a dream come true and now am not going to stop am eyeing for more glory and make my country and family proud"

The win opened more global doors for Keisha.

She will now participate in the U.S kids world Championships, The Malaysian Junior Championships, the Pepsi Little Peoples Junior Golf championship, the IMG Academy World Championships (previously callaway), The Optimist International Championships, US Kids Golf Australian Open and Venice Junior Open, which are held annually in United States, Scotland, Australia, Malaysia and Italy.
