An ambulance carrying the Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake, was moments ago blocked from  accessing the airport tarmac by police.

The ambulance had left Rubaga hospital at 11.00 am, heading for the airport but security said Zaake does not have CID clearance to travel abroad. He was reportedly travelling to the US, after his family had made private arrangements.

Zaake, whose health remains in a precarious condition was arrested and reportedly tortured in Arua with MPs Robert Kyagulanyi, Kassiano Wadri, Gerald Karuhnaga and Paul Mwiru.

He is yet to be formally charged in court with any offence but his colleagues have been formally charged with treason.
