Uganda takes on Tanzania in CECAFA under 17 decider

Uganda to lock horns with Tanzania in the Semifinal of the Under 17 CECAFA AFCON Zonal qualifiers.

Peter Onen’s Cubs were at their lethal best against Djibouti in their last group match as they put eight goals past their opponents to finish second in group B and set up a clash against the hosts Tanzania who led group A.

Their head coach admits that there is a lot at stake for the Tanzanians today since they are the hosts and thus expects a tougher clash.

“Today’s game is a decisive one. We are playing a home side Tanzania and they will be playing to make the home crowd proud because they already qualified, they can enjoy their crowd but for us we won’t be intimidated by their home crowd because our target today is to win “.

Besides the final berth and winner’s title, there is more at stake for Uganda and other participants as the tournament also serves as a qualification for next year’s Under 17 AFCON in Tanzania.
